The time is “write”.  November is National Novel Writing Month, and the website (www.nanowrimo.org) challenges you to write a 175-page novel in 30 days!  Start time is mid-night, November 1st, and you must have your novel completed by mid-night on November 30th.  Sign up on the website to participate in the NaNowWriMo network.  According to the website, “to be added to the official list of winners, you must reach the 50,000-word mark by November 30 at midnight. Once your novel has been verified by our web-based team of robotic word counters, the partying begins.”

The NVWP wants to help you in this endeavor!  We will be holding a novel writing workshop on Saturday, November 8th, at George Mason (room location TBA), from 10-2.  It will function just like a reading/writing group meeting, so bring an outline, a chapter, or just an idea to the workshop.  You will also have time to work on your novel, so bring your writer’s notebook or laptop!

If you have questions, email Erinn Harris at Erinn.Harris@fcps.edu.

Good luck!
