For my 18 yr old niece, Grace. Do you need to be a Virginia resident to participate? F. Ferraro
You do not need to be a Virginia resident to participate. We regularly welcome students from other states, and even students from outside the U.S.
We live in Frederick County, VA and travel into the campus is an obstacle as both parent work. Have you seen this situation before? Do you have any suggestions?
We have seen situations like yours before. Some parents have a friend or neighbor bring their student in. Others arrange a car pool with parents in their area (though it might be more difficult for someone in Frederick County). Those whose students are old enough often send them on public transportation.
What are the pre-requisites for this class. What level of writing is expected for a student entering grade 5?
My student will be 19 and will have graduated by the 2010 Summer Institute. Will she considered to attend?
