Mason Hosts “Fall for the Book” Literary Festival!

Fall for the Book is bringing more than 125 novelists, poets, journalists, historians, children’s book authors, and more to Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland next week! The festival runs from Wednesday, September 26 through Sunday, September 30, with events hosted at roughly two dozen venues in the region, including George Mason University, downtown Fairfax, and Busboys and Poets locations. The award winners this year are none other than Neil Gaiman, Rita Dove, Michael Chabon, and Katherine Boo. Notable participants this year include celebrated writer and activist Alice Walker, poet and folklorist Tom Pow, and novelist Amy Waldman.

On Thursday, September 27 at 1:30 p.m., Mason’s Peter Pober will moderate a panel on the state of higher education featuring Stephen Trachtenberg, Carol Harter, and Joann DeGennaro; this event takes place at George Mason University in Fairfax.
