The Journal of the Virginia Writing Project
The Journal of the Virginia Writing Project is written, edited, and produced exclusively by Virginia Writing Project Teacher Consultants. This print and online publication includes writing about both classroom practices and theory, and its purpose is to bring project news and information to the entire network of Teacher Consultants, to discuss and explore important issues and practices in the teaching of writing, and to provide a publishing forum for the writing done by Teacher Consultants. The Journal’s success can be measured by the high number of articles republished in other professional publications, most notably the National Writing Project’s The Voice and The Quarterly.
THE ARCHIVES OF THE JOURNAL OF THE VIRGINIA WRITING PROJECT
All back issues of the Journal of the Virginia Writing Project are now online! We are working on compiling an author index and compiling short introductions to each piece. If you would be willing to help with this project please contact Sara Duval sduval1@gmu.edu

Past articles have covered gender issues, teaching writing abroad, publishing in the classroom, and assessment, but we welcome articles on other aspects of teaching writing. E-mail to discuss your idea with an editor.
