Submit to the Blog

We invite Teacher Consultants to write posts for this site. Your writing will be displayed on the main page of the site and in the archives of the appropriate category.

What to Write

We’re open to your ideas, but here are some suggestions if you’re looking for a topic:

  • Project Events: If you attended a Project-related event–such as a writing and reflection retreat, a conference on the teaching of writing, or some other event–write a post about your experience.
  • Plans & Pedagogy: Tell others about short, practical lesson plans to bring writing into the classroom (cross-curricular ideas are encouraged), or share your theories and insights about the teaching of writing.
  • Reviews: Discuss books, stories, and articles, whether literary works or instructional pieces about the teaching of writing.

Most blog posts work best at around 500-700 words, but shorter or longer pieces are possible. Before writing, browse or search through the site to make sure that we haven’t already published a similar post.

How to Submit

Just send an email to contact [at] nvwp.org and attach your writing or copy-and-paste it into the message, and we’ll publish it for you.
