On October 20, 2009, Teacher Consultants from the Northern Virginia Writing Project and their students of all ages celebrated the National Day on Writing. The National Day on Writing, established by the National Council of Teachers of English and supported by the National Writing Project and other organizations, is a day to celebrate the importance of writing instruction at all educational levels and in Americans’ personal, professional and civic lives.
