The Northern Virginia Writing Project has scheduled one-day workshops for students who enjoy writing. We welcome interested students and motivated writers in grades 5-12 in Fall, and 4-12 in Spring.
Workshops are run by NVWP Teacher/Consultants, some of the best teachers in Northern Virginia. Class size is small, with a ratio of twelve students to one Teacher/Consultant. The workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Check this space in September for information on the Fall 2009 Young Writers’ Workshops.
Past workshop topics have included:
- Poetry

Students may choose the workshop topics which interest them the most. In addition, students in grades 10-12 may choose to take College Application Essay Writing, an intensive workshop designed to help them write truly effective college application essays.
